Millboard 90mm Subframe Hexhead Screws are heavy-duty coated carbon steel fixings designed to securely connect Plas-Pro or timber subframes beneath your decking. With a self-cutting Type-17 tip and hex-flange head for quick, stable driving, they deliver strong structural hold and long-term corrosion resistance. Ideal for creating a solid, lasting foundation for any Millboard decking installation.

  • Heavy-duty design – 6.3 mm diameter carbon-steel screw provides strong, secure fixing for Plas-Pro and timber subframes.
  • Fast installation – hex-flange head and included 8 mm driver bit ensure quick drive and easy torque control.
  • Coated for corrosion resistance – durable exterior coating protects against weathering and rust in outdoor environments.
  • Reliable structural hold – Type-17 self-cutting tip bites cleanly into subframe materials for lasting stability and reduced splitting (requires pre-drilling, especially in colder conditions).

What are these screws used for?
They’re designed for securely fixing Millboard’s Plas-Pro composite or timber subframes together, forming a solid and stable base for decking installations.

Do I need to pre-drill before installing them?
Yes – unlike Durafix board screws, these require a pre-drilled pilot hole to prevent splitting and ensure clean fixing, especially in colder conditions.

What material are they made from?
They’re manufactured from heavy-duty carbon steel with a corrosion-resistant exterior coating, designed to perform outdoors without the full cost of stainless steel.

What size driver bit do they use?
Each pack includes an 8mm hex driver bit, matching the hex-flange head for controlled, efficient driving.

Can they be used directly into Millboard decking boards?
No – these are structural fixings for subframes only. For decking boards themselves, use Millboard’s Durafix Trimhead screws.

Are they weatherproof?
Yes – the protective coating offers strong corrosion resistance for outdoor use, though stainless Durafix screws are preferred for direct exposure on the deck surface.
