  • Traditional 3" Fibre Cement Profile (To match Profile 3 Asbestos / Fibre Cement)
  • Profile 3 is great for Agricultural and Domestic projects such as Barns, Garages and Sheds.
  • Easy to handle material makes this an ideal DIY material to work with.
  • Fibre Cement Sheets have a very long life expectancy, often the sheets will long outlast even the fixings which hold them in place.
  • Southern Sheeting also supply Fibre Cement Sheets in Profile 6, Ridges, External Corners as well as fixings into Timber and Steel, including Hookbolts.
  • Long lasting fibre cement (life expectancy of 25 years)
  • Profile 3 is a lower profile which is ideal for smaller or more domestic buildings
  • 750mm overall width makes handling easier than other options
  • Fibre cement does not condensate
  • Etex fibre cement is semi compressed, meaning it can absorb more moisture
  • Durable, rust and rot resistant to any chemical influence
  • The ONLY British manufacturer of fibre cement roof sheet products
  • We stock all fibre cement sheets, accessories and fixings
  • Natural grey colour is a neutral colour

What material is this?
Semi-Compressed Fibre Cement in its Natural Grey Finish.

Are these asbestos?
Fibre Cement does NOT contain asbestos fibres as traditionally used in manufacturer of similar products, instead the material is made with a synthetic fibre.

What do these sheets cover?
Including the overlaps the coverage of these sheets is 650mm (25.5 inches), the overall width is 750mm

Do I have to Mitre cut the sheets?
If your roof required more than one sheet down the slope and therefore has an End Lap (A sheet overlapping the end of another sheet), then you will need to Mitre Cut the sheets, this is where you cut the corner off of 2 sheets where 4 would otherwise overlap in the middle, this prevents too much weight on the join which will otherwise cause a leak as well as weak points.

How long will they last?
Fibre cement has a life expectancy of 25 years, however these often exceed that life expectancy, traditional fibre cement sheets have lasted beyond 50 years and are only being replaced today.

What do I need to install these with?
This depends on the supports which you intend to fix too, we supply a range of Fibre Cement Fixings for all of these, Drill Screws referred to as ‘BAZ Screws’ into Timber, Light Section Steel (up to 3mm Thick) and Heavy Duty Steel (3mm to 12mm thick) are the most straight forward fixing to use, however your requirement may be for Hook bolts to go around a Steel or Concrete Purlin or Drive Nails into timber, we stock the full range in all suitable sizes.
You will also need 5mm x 6mm mastic for the side lap and any End Lap joints.

I have installed these, and the underside appears to have damp patches or is leaking, what should I do?
Part of the natural curing of a Fibre Cement product is that it soaks up more moisture for up to 6 months after it is installed, this creates damp looking patches which would show in random parts on the underside of the product, these may be damp to touch but should not drip. These damp patches may move about.
If the product is leaking and dripping or very damp, there may be an issue with sealing or a fixing, check that sheets are Mitred and that the correct mastic has been used in the correct Lap and End Lap joints of the sheet / fibre cement product. Alternatively, check if the leak is specifically around a fixing point, indicating the fixing is too tight or too loose.

How far apart should my supports be?
Profile 3 Fibre Cement Sheets need to be supported a maximum 975mm for loadings up to 1.8N/m2
