Anti Condensation Sheets

Transcript

We’re often asked what’s the difference between anti-condensation and standard, single skin sheets? Anti=condensation has a pre-applied, unwoven, fabric-coating on the underside. This absorbs and traps any moisture which evaporates as the temperate regulates. These sheets can be used in any environment that does not require insulation but needs to prevent condensation buildup such as small-scale livestock buildings or machinery sheds.

As you can see here, the membrane is absorbing the moisture compared to a non-backed sheet.

For the product to work properly, the building must be well ventilated to allow good airflow between the ridge and the eaves. If the airflow is poor, there will be too much moisture buildup for the fabric to absorb. This will result in water dripping from the underside of the sheet.

For larger scale applications or buildings with poor airflow, consider fibre cement of insulated sheets. For more information, contact our technical sales team here at Southern Sheeting.
