How to fix the composite cladding L Corner?

L Corners can be fixed using the 35mm long colour head screws at maximum of 900mm centres.  Screw fixings show fix through the composite slated cladding and into the joist beneath.  Always predrill a pilot hole through the composite materials first.

How should I cut the composite cladding L corner?

You can cut wood plastic composite material using either a hand saw or circular saw.  We recommend using a specialist composite blade in circular saw to get the best cut and to get longevity from the blade itself.  When performing rip cuts down the length of a corner, we advise using a guide to ensure accuracy.

Can I butt joint two lengths of L Corner?

For long runs of corner (either on double story buildings or when creating long fence or screen runs) you must leave a 5-6mm expansion gap between the two lengths of corner.  This will allow for thermal expansion and contraction of the material.

Are Bison Composite Batten Cladding L corners products scratch proof?

Whilst composite material is more robust and resistant to scratch and impact damage than traditional Cedral Batten Cladding or Siberian Larch Cladding, it is still possible to scratch the surface if mistreated. Care should be used when installing not to drag heavy and sharp items across the face of the composite materials.

Can I get samples of Bison Composite Batten Cladding products?

Yes, we have sample packs which include a piece of each colour board along with each of the trim accessories.  Please click here to order a sample.
